Details, details, details!

Wow, have we got a ton of stuff going on with our team right now. It's crazy! Our fund-raising efforts are in full swing! We are still recruiting team members. Come on--you know you want to walk with us!

Today was the start of many of our "jean day fundraisers" at Candice and Kim's work. We are allowed to wear jeans (instead of our boring khakis and black polo shirt uniforms) if we donate $5.00! We have 4 of these in the months leading up to Relay! Thank you for all of our coworkers who participated!



This weekend we are doing a Can & Bottle drive in one of our team members neighborhoods! We all praying for good weather Saturday morning! If you'd like to donate your empties to us, please leave a comment below! We'd more more than happy to take the off your hands!

Our scrapbooking day is just around the corner. We still have spots available and are trying to have a full house. If you know any scrapbookers, send them our way. Please spread the info to your family and friends!

Amanda has generously donated her garage as our storage space for our garage sale collection! If you have stuff you want to get rid of, let one of us know. We can schedule a drop-off time, or arrange to come pick the items up from you!



Do you know a local cancer SURVIVOR?? If so, we want their names! Relay for Life has a great tradition of having a Survivor Lap and luncheon. They will send a personalized invitation to each survivor whose name we turn in.



We are selling luminaria bags (that will be lit at 10pm on June 5th during Relay). Would you consider donating a bag to your loved one who has heard the words "you have cancer"? Whether they have beat, are battling or have lost their battle to cancer--what better way to honor them. Each bag is $10.00 and can be decorated by you (or by one of us)!

We're in the final stages of designing our team t-shirts (yes plural--we're having two...or maybe even three...who knows).

(Sorry that this post turned into a book, I have a lot to say and am very passionate about Relay for Life. Being involved in this takes my mind off of all that is going on around me....for a minute.)

We're planning our garage sale for a Wednesday-Saturday in May in Northville! Garage sale flyers with date and location will be released soon!

We can arrange for pick up of items or we can give you the drop off location (which is available for items NOW)!

Cropping for a Cure!

We've moved on to our second fundraiser!!!!

Calling all scrapbookers, crafters, beaders, card makers, etc.

Please join us for a 12 hour cropping event!



Saturday April 24th, 2010 from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M.

26847 Grand River Ave, Redford Township 48240

$40.00 per cropper

* Breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts, beverages, and snacks provided
* A minimum of 4 feet of table space per cropper
* There are tons of electrical outlets. Bring your Cricut, scrapbooking lights, printers, etc.
* Make-n-takes, demonstrations & games will be available throughout the day
* A Creative Memories Consultant will be on site for your shopping needs
* Multiple raffle items will be available during the crop
* 50/50 raffle
* Hourly door prizes and contests
* Wear something purple or golf themed to earn an extra raffle ticket
* Cancellations-refunds will be given if cancellation is 12 days prior to crop

100 Days til Relay!!

Woot, woot--we are at the hundred day mark for Relay! Sweet! It will be here before we know it. Our first fundraiser is under way (thanks to Laura) and we have many more planned. (Hint--we're still trying to secure everything, but we're aiming for Scrapping "Fore" A Cure on 4/17 or 4/24. Pencil the date on your calendars)! We're still looking for people to join our team, come on--you know you want to hang out with the cool people for 24 hours ;-) Really you don't have to commit to the entire 24 hours--just 2-3 hours! Seriously though...it'll be a blast and it's for a great cause!

Monday February 22nd, We're kicking off our fundraising events with an awesome raffle! We've paired up with the Sharp Scissors Lady, Laura Webber, to offer one grand prize winner a fabulous prize!

If you know our team members, you know we are ADDICTED to couponing! Laura Webber is the person who turned us all on to couponing! She has an amazing savvy saving blog (www.sharpenyourscissors.net) and is a really great person! We just love her!

So, back to the raffle, one grand prize winner will win (wait for it!!)... a 2-hour shopping date with Laura (how awesome is that), the opportunity to learn Laura's kick-butt skills, first hand and a $50.00 Visa gift card to use on your shopping date ($50.00 goes really far with coupons--you'd be surprised if you're new to coupons)!

Our reason to Relay!

Fighting cancer is a team effort. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone.

At the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, our team will camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society save more lives from cancer. By joining or donating to our team, you will be a part of a life-changing event that gives everyone in the community a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.
